A home is likely the largest, most valuable asset a person purchases in their lifetime. This asset can become a liability if a home inspection is not conducted completely or properly. Failing to report vital information in an inspection can lead to costly repairs and could even exacerbate health issues. In some cases, buyers are left without the home they purchased, and struggle to financially recover.

Currently, there are no licensing requirements for home inspectors. This bill would set statewide standards for the profession. Previous proposals to license home inspectors habe garnered bipartisan support.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation to better safeguard Pennsylvanians during the home buying process.
