Once again, please join me in cosponsoring legislation that will designate the week of August 19th through the 30th, 2026 as “Little League World Series” week in Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania’s proud tradition of youth sports shines brightly each summer during the Little League Baseball  World Series, held annually in South Williamsport, Lycoming County.
For more than seven decades the Little League World Series continues to bring together young athletes from around the globe to compete in the spirit of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
Each year, the Little League World Series draws tens of thousands of visitors to Pennsylvania, boosting the local economy and fostering a sense of community and pride.
The Little League World Series not only celebrates athletic excellence but also emphasizes character development, leadership, and lifelong friendships. It serves as a shining example of the power of youth sports to bring people together across cultures and continents.
This resolution will honor the players, coaches, families, and volunteers who make the Little League World Series a cherished tradition in our Commonwealth and a beacon of hope and joy for young athletes everywhere.
Thank you for your consideration.
