We will soon be introducing a resolution to designate June 15, 2026, as Pediatric Brain Cancer Awareness Day in the Commonwealth.

Pediatric brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death among children in the United States. Brain tumors are the most common solid tumor diagnosed in children, and despite significant advances in medicine, survival rates for many forms of pediatric brain cancer remain devastatingly low. The children and families facing this diagnosis often have few treatment options, all while enduring tremendous physical, emotional, and financial burdens.

Raising public awareness is one of the most powerful tools we have to change that reality. Greater awareness drives increased investment in research, expands access to clinical trials, and accelerates the development of more effective and less invasive treatments for our children. Pennsylvania is home to world-class hospitals and researchers who are leading the fight against this disease, and we have an opportunity to support them and the families they serve.

Please join us in co-sponsoring this important resolution to increase awareness around Pediatric Brain Cancer.
