In honor of our dairy farmers who work tirelessly to provide fresh dairy products to our families, I will be introducing a resolution designating the month of June 2026 as “Dairy Month” in Pennsylvania.

Our dairy industry is a staple here in the Commonwealth and remains an integral part of our community and economy.

Currently, we have 4,360 dairy farms (93% of them being family owned), and an industry, as a whole, that supports 46,000 jobs and contributes $11.1 billion to our state’s economy.

Pennsylvania’s dairy industry continues to be a strong national competitor as it ranks 8th in total number of milk cows (461,000 total cows) and 8th in total milk production (producing over 9.7 billion pounds annually).

Please join me in recognizing the impact of the dairy industry on our Commonwealth and celebrating our dairy farmers by cosponsoring this resolution.
