In the near future, we will be introducing a resolution to officially recognize May 4, 2026, as Aerospace Day in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania is emerging as a national leader in aerospace innovation. Our highly skilled workforce and proximity to key federal agencies and defense hubs uniquely position the Commonwealth to drive advancements in aerospace.

Additionally, Pennsylvania’s world-class education system is one of our greatest assets in supporting the aerospace sector. Our research universities and technical training institutions provide exceptional human capital that drives aerospace innovation here in the Commonwealth.

By attracting high-wage aerospace and advanced manufacturing jobs, revitalizing our industrial regions, and investing in a resilient, future-ready workforce, Pennsylvania can secure long-term economic growth and reinforce our state’s position as a national hub for innovation.

Leveraging these assets can strengthen our role in the national aerospace sector and fuel economic growth here in Pennsylvania.

Celebrating Aerospace Day in Pennsylvania provides a valuable opportunity for both residents and lawmakers to better understand the industry and its impact on our Commonwealth. Throughout the day, there will be exhibitions of the state’s aerospace industry in Harrisburg, as well as a public hearing to further educate members of the General Assembly and Pennsylvanians on the opportunity to support and bolster this growing industry in our Commonwealth.

It is crucial that we raise awareness of the aerospace industry so that we do not miss the opportunity within our reach. I hope you will join us in co-sponsoring this important legislation.
