Distracted driving continues to be a leading cause of crashes on Pennsylvania roadways.  As the Prime-Sponsor of the recently enacted “distracted-driving” law in Pennsylvania, also known as “Paul Millers Law”, this was about bringing awareness, changing driving behavior and combatting especially cell phone use while driving, due to its repetitive, consistent and longer nature of distraction.

There are many other realistic distractions while driving. Some include but are not limited to eating, applying makeup, reading, passengers and more. However, it is our responsibility as legislators to protect the public in the best way possible, especially along Pennsylvania roadways.

This resolution is about reminding Pennsylvania drivers of their responsibility while driving and promote communications that help spread that word. Behaviors while driving are our personal responsibility.

Please join me in sponsoring this real -world safety resolution reminding drivers to keep two hands on the wheel, two eyes on the road and their mind at task as much as possible to prevent crashes on any Pennsylvania roadways and save lives.
