In the near future, we will be introducing a resolution designating April 2026 as “Faith Month” in Pennsylvania.

In the United States of America, freedom of religion is one of our core principles. Our state of Pennsylvania was founded as a haven for religious diversity in the colonies by William Penn. The right to religious liberty is enshrined in both our nation’s constitution and Pennsylvania’s constitution.

For many Pennsylvanians, their faith is the center of their lives. The religious diversity that Pennsylvania was founded on carries on today, and numerous religions are practiced across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Faith guides us and nurtures us during difficult times as well as during times of happiness and we know many of our fellow legislators are driven by their own faiths.

Because of the importance of faith to so many people in this commonwealth, we ask that you please join us in cosponsoring this important resolution to recognize April 2026 as “Faith Month” in Pennsylvania.

Thank you for your consideration.
