We intend to introduce a resolution to recognize Monday, May 4, 2026 as “Police Officers’ Memorial Day” in Pennsylvania and the week of Sunday, May 10, 2026 to Saturday, May 16, 2026 as “National Police Week.”

On May 4, 2026, the annual Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Pennsylvania State Lodge Memorial Ceremony will be held at 5pm in the Capitol Rotunda to honor the five brave law enforcement officers who died in the line-of-duty in 2025:

Patrolman Andrew Duarte – West York Borough Police Department – EOW 2/22/25
Detective Mark Baker – Northern York Regional Police Department – EOW 9/17/25
Detective Sergeant Cody Becker – Northern York Regional Police Department – EOW 9/17/25
Detective Isaiah Emenheiser – Northern York Regional Police Department – EOW 9/17/25
Officer Andy Chan – Philadelphia Police Department – EOW 12/2/25

We encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices of these officers and the families they left behind.

The brave men and women of law enforcement, who are some of the most selfless public servants this country has ever seen, don their uniform and strap on their firearm each day while facing the realization that it could be their last.

Please join us in memorializing our fallen Pennsylvania law enforcement officers, whose End of Watch (EOW) came entirely too soon.
