In the near future, I plan on introducing legislation to authorize a six-month sales tax holiday on Firearms and Ammunition beginning July 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026.  
 
The right to bear arms is a fundamental part of our society; a right that is enshrined in both the federal constitution and in the Commonwealth’s constitution. Further, many families in rural Pennsylvania utilize hunting as a means, not only of sound wildlife management, but also for sustenance.  That is why now is the perfect time to adopt a six month sales tax holiday on all firearms and ammunition, similar to several other states.
