In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing the week of April 6 through April 12, 2026, as National Public Health Week in Pennsylvania.

Amid persistent health disparities, barriers to care, and preventable diseases, we must recognize and celebrate public health professionals and the critical role they play in safeguarding our communities.

With over 13 million people living in our Commonwealth, Pennsylvania is home to numerous public health organizations, professionals, and advocates who tirelessly work to improve the health and well-being of our residents. By officially recognizing National Public Health Week, we have an opportunity to express gratitude for their dedication and amplify the importance of public health initiatives across our Commonwealth.

Please join me in honoring the efforts of public health professionals and reaffirming our commitment to promoting the health and wellness of all Pennsylvanians.
