Pets are family members. Dogs, Cats, Birds, and all other kinds of pets enrich our lives with their companionship and affection. That is why I am introducing legislation to add pet food to the list of necessities that are excluded from the sales tax, similar to the way the food you and I consume is excluded from the sales tax.

Part of being a pet owner is making sure that they are fed and well taken care of. Excluding pet food from the sales tax the same way our food is makes caring for them that much easier
