While every family is facing higher costs for basic purchases, new and growing families are faced with the unique financial strain of making a series of purchases for babies and growing children. As part of an effort to extend full tax relief to these families, I am preparing to offer legislation to enact a one-time, six-month sales tax holiday for certain purchases that can pose a particular financial strain.
