Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., was founded in 1913 by 22 collegiate women on the campus of Howard University in Washington D.C. and has grown into one of the preeminent service-based sororities in the nation with more than 350,000 predominantly African American initiated members.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., fulfills its mission through an extensive array of public service initiatives aligned with its Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: educational development, economic development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement.
