May is National Bike Month, a celebration of cycling as transportation, recreation, and as something that is essential to our well-being and everyday lives. Forty percent of all trips in the U.S. are less than two miles, making cycling a feasible and fun way to get around.

Pennsylvania is home to thousands of miles of bike trails enabling our residents to get out and see the state, and in some cases, ride from one end of the state to the other. That is why I am introducing legislation to make Bicycles, E-Bikes, Helmets and other bicycle parts exempt from the state sales tax for the duration of the month of May, encouraging folks to get out and enjoy everything Pennsylvania has to offer cyclists.

Please consider joining me in co-sponsoring this legislation.

Sincerely,
