This summer Pennsylvania is proud to host part of the 2026 world cup with Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia hosting six games.  The world cup is a chance for Pennsylvania and Philadelphia to show off for the entire world with thousands of visitors coming from across the world.  That is why I am going to be introducing a six-month sales tax holiday for all soccer equipment beginning July 1st and ending on December 31st.
 
The entire world will have its eyes on Pennsylvania for the world cup and what better way to embrace that than by waiving the sales tax on all soccer related purchases.
