As families continue to face higher costs for things they use every day, our policymakers must ask what we can do to make life affordable again. One of the most direct ways that government can counteract increased costs is to provide targeted relief for things that families actually buy.

We are proposing two bills to provide tax relief through a six-month tax holiday for electricity and cell phone service. Further, the tax relief from these tax holidays would be clearly communicated and shown on families’ bills.
