Soaps, shampoo, deodorant, and shaving cream are all necessities of modern life.  That is why I plan on introducing legislation to exclude them from the sale tax similar to other necessities like food and clothing.  These things are not luxury goods, but items that everyone uses everyday.
 
This will have a minor impact on the collection of sales tax but a major impact on the lives of Pennsylvanians by lowering the costs of these basic necessities.
