This year the city of Pittsburgh will host the 2026 NFL draft, a signature event that signals the start of a new football season.  Football has a rich and deep history in Pennsylvania with the Steelers and Eagles, winners of multiple championships, and as the birthplace of the 2nd most hall of famers, trailing only California. 
 
That is why I am proposing a sales tax holiday on football equipment that will run from July 1st to December 31st to help reduce the cost of participating in what is the states most popular sport
