Whether it’s to clean up their yard from winter or to grow their own food, Pennsylvania families are planning their home gardening and lawn maintenance activities for the year. While many people do these activities for personal enjoyment or because they like growing their own food, others want to save money.

My legislation would establish a one-time, six-month sales tax holiday for home gardening and lawn supplies, like seeds, bulbs, lawnmowers, weed trimmers, and gardening tools.

At a time when the costs for many goods remain stubbornly high, this legislation would provide critical relief to our families’ budgets.
