Prom season is once more upon us, a stressful time for teenagers across the state as they try to arrange dates, dinners, dresses and tuxes.  It can also be an extremely stressful time for their parents as well, with the cost of all of the above rising every year.  That is why I am proposing a sales tax holiday for prom related items.  This could make the difference between a young lady getting the dress of her dreams and not, or a young man being able to afford his first suit that fits properly.  But most off all it will make an important right of passage in high school just a little bit more affordable for families across the state.
