On Sunday, March 8, Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Timothy J. O’Connor Jr. tragically lost his life after he was shot during a traffic stop in West Caln Township. He became the 105th member of the state police to give his life in the line of duty.

Corporal O’Connor exemplified what it means to be a public servant. He dedicated his life to serving and protecting his community through his work with the Pennsylvania State Police, as a member of the First West Chester Fire Company, and as a counselor and youth mentor at Chester County Camp Cadet. His dedication to helping others and his unwavering commitment to public safety were evident to all who had the privilege of serving alongside him. We will soon be introducing a condolence resolution to honor Corporal O’Connor and his life of service.

Corporal O’Connor will be remembered by his colleagues, family, and community for his kindness, compassion, and integrity. His commitment to protecting others reflects the very best of our law enforcement community, and his absence is felt deeply. Please join us in honoring his life and legacy by co-sponsoring this resolution.
