The brave men and women who make up our law enforcement agencies work hard to ensure the safety of our communities. In the course of their work, officers must regularly contend with a wide range of occupational hazards: threats to their personal safety, long hours and frequent shifts, poor sleep, and physical hardships. Officers must also deal with exposure to death, grief, injury, pain, and loss as a result of their jobs.

There is no doubt that for all of our sakes, law enforcement officers sacrifice a great deal, and some make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

In the near future, we plan to introduce a Resolution to honor the memory of Pennsylvania law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2025.

Please join us in honoring our fallen heroes, Patrolman Andrew Duarte, Police Officers Mark Baker, Cody Becker, Isaiah Emenheiser, and Andy Chan, and all law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice by supporting this important resolution.
