Respiratory therapists play an important role in our health care system by supporting people who are having trouble breathing, especially from cardiopulmonary conditions. Unfortunately, Pennsylvania faces a shortage of workers in respiratory therapy despite their essential work.

Pennsylvanians deserve quality, accessible health care, which is why I plan to introduce legislation that would enter Pennsylvania into the Respiratory Care Interstate Compact. Participating in this compact is an important move to remove barriers for entry into our health care space and remain an attractive place for health care practitioners to work.

Join me in co-sponsoring this legislation to make sure that our Commonwealth can remove barriers for respiratory therapists.
