In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution designating the month of March 2026 as "Disabilities Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.

A disability can affect someone from any age, race, or background, whether it occurs at birth or later in life. In both Pennsylvania and America as a whole, one in four adults have some form of disability.

Despite the statistical prevalence, not everyone is aware of the issues that people with disabilities face. Even with advances in legal protections at the federal and state levels and increases in societal awareness and understanding, people with disabilities still face discrimination in the workforce, lack crucial public accommodations, and experience hardships in day-to-day activities.

Therefore, this resolution seeks to bring awareness to the unique challenges faced by people with disabilities as part of the larger goal of ensuring that our fellow Pennsylvanians are provided the dignity, respect, and accommodations they deserve.

Please join me in sponsoring this important resolution and help make Pennsylvania a better and more inclusive place for everyone.
