I will be introducing legislation that directs the Pennsylvania Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (LBFC) to conduct a study on the future validity and viability of data center technology and facilities.

Many articles published have posed the question that data centers will not be needed at the size or level of current proposed development.  In the mission of protecting land and unnecessary infrastructure and utility utilization, I believe a deeper review into the current data storage technology advancements is warranted.  As Pennsylvania data center development proposals grow, these questions should be explored to determine smart and responsible long-term decisions and necessity.
