In the near future, we plan to introduce legislation to eliminate funding for any healthcare system that continues providing gender-affirming medical interventions to minors diagnosed with gender dysphoria.
Recently, the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy signed a declaration stating that gender-affirming care for minors does not meet professionally recognized standards of health care. These interventions carry life-altering risks and lack reliable evidence demonstrating long-term benefits for children.

This approach has been driven by ideology rather than sound, evidence-based medicine. These gender transition surgeries are considered irreversible and have lifelong physical and psychological impacts.  We have a responsibility to protect our most vulnerable population and ensure that medical care for children is grounded in real science, not political agendas.

This legislation will end state funding for any healthcare system that continues providing gender-affirming medical interventions to minors diagnosed with gender dysphoria.  In addition, medical insurers may also deny coverage for this damaging procedure.

We invite our colleagues in following the science and ending this dangerous practice for minors.
