In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution recognizing February 2026 as “Blood Cancer Awareness Month” in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

More than 180,000 Americans are diagnosed with blood cancers each year, including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. These diseases affect individuals of all ages and account for approximately ten percent of all new cancer cases nationwide.

Increased awareness, early detection, and strong community support are essential to improving outcomes for patients and families. Organizations such as Blood Cancer United provide vital advocacy, education, and assistance to those affected throughout our Commonwealth.

This resolution acknowledges the impact of blood cancers on Pennsylvanians and encourages residents to participate in awareness efforts and support patients, caregivers, and survivors.

I respectfully ask for your consideration and co-sponsorship.
