In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation permitting Veterans to purchase up to ten (10) years of creditable non-school service under PSERS (Title 24/Education) and creditable non-state service under SERS (Title 71/State Government).
 
Currently, Veterans are limited to five (5) years. It is important that Veterans be fully recognized for their service and not just nominally.  As we compete with other states for service members, this legislation would ensure that our Veterans receive appropriate credit toward their retirement.
