In the coming days, I will introduce a resolution recognizing the true meaning of Christmas — the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, whose life, death, and resurrection offer salvation to all who believe.
For over 2,000 years, the Nativity has proclaimed a message of divine love, hope, and redemption. It is not myth or tradition — it is the turning point of history, the foundation of Western civilization, and a call to moral clarity in every generation.
William Penn founded Pennsylvania as a “holy experiment,” grounded in biblical truth and religious liberty. That vision shaped our Commonwealth through leaders like John Dickinson, James Wilson, and others who saw Christian faith as essential to liberty and law.
This resolution reaffirms that legacy. It calls on Pennsylvanians to remember Christmas as more than a holiday — as a holy celebration of God’s mercy and truth, and an invitation to live out Christ’s teachings through service, forgiveness, and faith.
From Bethlehem’s Moravian roots to Christmas observances across all 67 counties, Pennsylvania has long honored this season. But in an age of confusion and division, we must boldly proclaim what Christmas truly means — and Who it reveals.
I invite you to co-sponsor this resolution as a public witness to the truth that still transforms lives, strengthens families, and renews nations.
