In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing February 2026 as Senior Independence Month in Pennsylvania.

Each year, February is observed nationally as Senior Independence Month, which is a time to honor older adults, celebrate their contributions, and reaffirm our commitment to supporting their independence.

Older Pennsylvanians have played a crucial role in shaping our Commonwealth through their wisdom, experience, and countless achievements. Supporting their independence is fundamental to preserving dignity and quality of life, empowering individuals to stay engaged and active within their families, neighborhoods, and communities.

By providing access to critical resources such as health and wellness programs, affordable housing, in-home care, transportation services, and opportunities for social connection, we can help older adults across Pennsylvania maintain the independence they deserve.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution to recognize the invaluable contributions of our older adults and to promote programs that sustain their independence.
