In the near future, I will be introducing legislation designating a bridge in East Providence Township, Bedford County, as the PFC Charles O. Snyder Memorial Bridge.

Charles O. Snyder was born in Monroe Township, Bedford County, on March 4th, 1950. He was a graduate of Everett Area High School, where he enjoyed reading books on the broad topic of history, but he specifically enjoyed military history. He would go on to serve as a member of the United States Marine Corps from August 1968 to March 1969, where he would be assigned to the 1st Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Division. Charles O. Snyder received the rank of Private First Class during his time with the United States Marine Corps. PFC Charles O. Snyder made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of freedom, when he was killed in action in Vietnam on March 28th, 1969.

I hope you will consider sponsoring this legislation and join me in honoring the service and sacrifice of PFC Charles O. Snyder.
