The American flag is a powerful national symbol that represents the values, history, and identity of the United States. Publicly flying the American flag is not just a patriotic gesture, but a powerful expression of the core values that define America and a sign of respect for all those who have fought for freedom and justice.

I believe American flags should be made in America. That’s why I plan to introduce legislation that would require Pennsylvania and U.S. flags purchased by the Commonwealth for public display to be made in the United States.

Requiring them to be made domestically supports American workers and ensures that the symbol of the nation is created under the very principles it represents—fair labor, freedom, and quality.  By purchasing flags made in the United States, we are supporting manufacturing jobs and helping to sustain local economies.

Please join me in sponsoring this common-sense legislation.
