Certified public accountants provide valuable services to taxpayers and businesses throughout our state. To recognize these tireless efforts, we will soon be introducing a resolution designating November 17 through November 21, 2025, as “Certified Public Accountant Week” in Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) is Pennsylvania’s leading certified public accountants (CPA) organization. This organization was founded in 1897 and represents nearly 20,000 members in the Commonwealth. Further, PICPA established the Pennsylvania CPA Foundation to inspire students to pursue careers in accounting and advocate for those working to attain the CPA credential.

Our state’s CPAs promote economic growth in Pennsylvania and provide incredibly important financial advisory services to hundreds of thousands of taxpayers and businesses. A CPA’s services can especially help business owners by providing consultative services that help business owners navigate their finances and operate their businesses more efficiently. The services provided by a CPA also help to protect small businesses by aiding owners with risk management assessments and offering guidance when making difficult business decisions. Our state’s CPAs help to ensure that our businesses continue to grow and provide crucial services that help the everyday lives of people throughout Pennsylvania.

We hope that you will join us in recognizing the importance of our certified public accountants by supporting this resolution. Your consideration is greatly appreciated.
