While many of us enjoy the option of dining out, it is important that we can do so with full transparency of menu item prices. When a restaurant does not include menu prices, it can be uncomfortable for patrons to inquire about the price of the food and beverages. Furthermore, some patrons may have a budget and want to select their meal based on affordability.

For this reason, I plan to introduce legislation that would prohibit restaurants from advertising, offering or selling a food or beverage item without clearly and conspicuously disclosing the item’s price. This legislation would ensure transparent advertisement of food and beverage prices so patrons can make informed decisions when selecting their meals and beverages.
