In the near future I will be introducing legislation to allow the Treasurer's Office to reimburse local government entities, and entities contracted to supply services to the citizens of Pennsylvania, for interest on loans taken out to cover expenses through the 2025 Budget Impasse at the rate the Treasurer's Office has set for the Bridge Loans to Head Start.

CCAP offered the idea at a public event today, (9/29/25) .  These local governments and contracted human service agencies are not responsible for the delays in payments but they have been used as a bargaining chip.

When you are heartless you can use people in need as a bargaining chip.  When you care about people, you look for solutions like the one our Treasurer came up with for Head Start.  This bill will build will build on the Treasurer's success by providing a similar safety net to other government and independent agencies caring for our constituent.

I hope you will join me as a sponsor of this legislation.
