The Senate Resolution honors the life and service of Corporal Glenn Hodak, a member of the United States Army Air Forces who served during World War II. Born on March 17, 1922, in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, Hodak enlisted and achieved the rank of corporal while serving in the 93rd Bombardment Squadron. He participated in the Great Tokyo Air Raid on March 10, 1945, as a tail gunner in the B-29 Superfortress bomber "Tall in the Saddle." Tragically, Hodak and his crew were shot down and became prisoners of war, ultimately perishing in the May 1945 Tokyo Prison Fire.

After being unidentified for over 80 years, Hodak's remains were disinterred in April 2022 and identified through scientific analysis. The resolution expresses the Senate's honor for Hodak's service and memory, acknowledges the dignity of his return to Pennsylvania, and extends condolences to his family. His remains will be buried in Spring Creek Cemetery alongside his mother and two brothers, marking a poignant conclusion to his long-awaited return home.
