It removes the term "soldier's" from the definition of memorials and introduces a broader definition that encompasses various types of memorials honoring individuals who have served in the Pennsylvania National Guard or the armed forces. The bill aims to ensure that local governments have the authority and resources to properly care for and maintain these important commemorative structures. The act is set to take effect in 60 days.
