Automation isn’t a distant threat. It’s already here, transforming our economy in real time. Across industries, corporations are quietly replacing workers with machines and algorithms. They pocket the profits while families, towns, and entire regions absorb the fallout.

Right now, Pennsylvanians have no way to even know the scale of this transformation. Jobs disappear without warning, decisions are made behind closed doors, and the people most affected are left blind to the forces reshaping their lives.

This legislation is about ending that blackout.

The Job Automation Disclosure Act will:
  • Require real-time disclosure whenever jobs are eliminated due to automation or AI.
  • Publish quarterly reports with statewide data so workers, policymakers, and communities can see what’s really happening.
  • Equip the public with facts needed to drive retraining, economic planning, and new protections for working people.
Progress without transparency is exploitation. With this bill, Pennsylvania can set a national standard: technology must serve human dignity, not erase it.

I invite you to co-sponsor this legislation and stand with workers in demanding a future where people remain at the center of our economy.
