This bill amends the Second Class Township Code, specifically focusing on the completion, filing, and publication of annual township reports and financial statements. Key changes include extending the deadline for the board of auditors to complete their audit from the first day of April to the last day of June each year. Additionally, the report of the township's affairs must now be filed by the secretary of the board of auditors by the last day of June, rather than within ninety days after the close of the fiscal year.

Furthermore, the deadline for the township secretary to publish concise financial information has been changed from April 15 to July 15 each year. This publication must include essential financial data such as total assets, liabilities, and net position, as well as revenue and expenses for the previous year. If the full financial statements are not published, copies must be provided to the newspaper upon request. The act is set to take effect 60 days after its passage.
