This bill amends the Right-to-Know Law, specifically the definition of "local agency" as outlined in the act of February 14, 2008. The amendment expands the definition to include not only political subdivisions, intermediate units, charter schools, cyber charter schools, and public trade or vocational schools, as well as local, intergovernmental, regional, or municipal agencies, authorities, councils, boards, commissions, or similar governmental entities, but also adds a new category: associations as defined in 68 Pa.C.S. 5103.

The changes aim to clarify and broaden the scope of what constitutes a local agency under the law, thereby enhancing public access to information held by these entities. The bill is set to take effect 60 days after its enactment.
