This bill amends various titles of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to introduce excise fees for transportation network companies (TNCs) operating within and outside cities of the first class. Specifically, it establishes a fee of 4.6% on gross receipts from fares for prearranged rides originating in a city of the first class, which must be remitted quarterly to the Public Transportation Trust Fund. For TNCs operating outside such cities, a higher fee of 6% is imposed under similar conditions. Both fees are to be deposited into the Public Transportation Trust Fund.

Additionally, the bill modifies the existing fund provisions to include revenues from these new excise fees, ensuring that they are allocated for program funding as specified. The amendments also clarify the remittance process and the annual deposit of these revenues into the fund. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
