Countless young adults, teenagers, and children across the country are advocates for issues and causes they believe in. As advocates, young people are able to make their voices heard on the issues that impact them. Young people played crucial roles in many important movements in American history, including the civil rights movement and the protests against the Vietnam War.

Young advocates continue to be a force for societal change to this day, with youth advocacy playing a powerful role in movements across the world. In honor of the efforts made by Pennsylvania’s young advocates, I intend to introduce a resolution to designate May 5, 2025, as “Youth Advocacy Day” in Pennsylvania.

Please join me in cosponsoring this resolution to recognize the efforts of the Commonwealth’s young residents who work to try and create a better community, state, country, and world.
