This bill amends the Pennsylvania Liquor Code to introduce new regulations regarding the enforcement of liquor laws, specifically concerning individuals under the age of twenty-one. It allows individuals who are at least eighteen years old and are officers, employees, or interns of the enforcement bureau to purchase, possess, or transport liquor or malt beverages, provided they have completed the necessary training and are acting under supervision. However, these individuals are prohibited from consuming any alcoholic beverages.
Additionally, the bill mandates the Pennsylvania State Police to establish regulations for conducting compliance checks, which must include Pennsylvania Liquor Stores. It outlines the procedures for notifying licensed sellers of liquor regarding their compliance status following these checks. The bill also requires an annual report on compliance check activities to be submitted to relevant legislative committees. The provisions introduced in this bill will expire five years from the effective date.
