Across both social and professional settings, having greater diversity amongst friends, family, and colleagues can have numerous benefits, such as forming stronger interpersonal skills and generating greater success for businesses. In fact, there is a 35% greater likelihood that companies with racially and ethnically diverse leadership will financially outperform companies that lack such diversity.

It is important for Pennsylvania to serve as an environment in which people of all backgrounds are welcomed and valued. That is why I plan to introduce a resolution to recognize April 2025 as “Celebrate Diversity Month” in Pennsylvania. This recognition will bring attention to the importance of appreciating those around us with different life experiences while raising awareness of the numerous benefits of living in a more open and diverse community.

We in the state legislature have a responsibility to ensure Pennsylvania welcomes individuals of all backgrounds in all corners of the state. Please show your support for the different cultures and communities that make our state what it is today by co-sponsoring this important resolution.
