The bill amends the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act, originally enacted on December 19, 1988, by adding a new section, Section 301.2, which outlines payment methods for games of chance conducted by licensed eligible organizations. Under this new section, organizations are required to accept cash as a payment method and may also accept debit cards. Additionally, the bill allows these organizations to establish their own policies regarding the acceptance of checks and money orders, making it clear that they are not obligated to accept these forms of payment.

Furthermore, the bill abrogates a regulation in 61 Pa. Code 901.506 that is inconsistent with the newly added payment provisions. This legislative change aims to provide clarity and flexibility for licensed organizations in managing payment methods for games of chance. The act is set to take effect 60 days after its passage.
