Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade, several states have moved to criminalize abortion—including procedures lawfully obtained both within their own borders, and within other states. These efforts not only threaten reproductive rights but also undermine state sovereignty by seeking to impose one state’s laws on another.
Our legislation will prohibit Pennsylvania law enforcement, state agencies, local governments, and their employees from cooperating with out-of-state investigations into specified medical procedures that are legally obtained here. This critical measure ensures that Pennsylvania’s laws are respected and that individuals can access the health care they need without fear of persecution from other states.
