In the near future, we will be introducing a resolution designating April 6 through April 12, 2025, as National Library Week in Pennsylvania.

Libraries are an integral part of our communities across the Commonwealth – offering resources and services that create opportunities for learning, support literacy and enhance education.

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries of all types across the country each April. The theme for National Library Week 2025 is “Drawn to the Library,” celebrating the many ways we utilize the library in our personal, academic, and professional lives to research, study, explore and grow.

Please join us in recognizing and celebrating the libraries across our Commonwealth by cosponsoring this resolution.
