In the near future, I will be introducing legislation to designate a bridge in York County as Private Myles Albert Ness Memorial Bridge.

Myles Albert Ness was born on December 4, 1892 in York, Pennsylvania.  In 1917 Myles joined the United State Army as a private serving in the 6th Infantry Regiment.  The 6th Infantry Regiment was part of the 5th Infantry Division during World War I fighting in several campaigns including the Meuse-Argonne Offensive.

During the war, Private Ness was wounded in action but survived the war.  Private Ness died on May 15, 1958 and is buried at the Zion United Methodist Church in Windsor Township, York County.

Please join me in honoring this hero.
