This bill authorizes the Department of General Services, with the Governor's approval, to grant and convey approximately 2.857 acres of land and buildings located in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, to the Susquehanna Regional Transportation Authority. The conveyance will occur at fair market value, as determined by an appraisal, and will be subject to specific terms and conditions outlined in an agreement of sale. The property is described in detail, including its boundaries and notable features, and the conveyance will be subject to existing easements and rights of way.
Additionally, the bill includes provisions that prohibit the use of the conveyed property as a licensed facility, ensuring that any violation would result in the title reverting back to the grantor. The Secretary of General Services is empowered to include any necessary covenants or restrictions in the deed of conveyance, and the costs associated with the transaction will be the responsibility of the grantee. If the conveyance is not executed within 24 months, the property may be disposed of through a competitive bidding process. Proceeds from the sale will be deposited into the General Fund. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
