According to the Tax Foundation, the average state and local tax burden in Pennsylvania is 10.6 percent with each person paying an average of $6,723 in taxes each year. I feel that this number is way too high, and it keeps potential newcomers from relocating to our state. Therefore, I am planning on introducing legislation that would eliminate the state Personal Income Tax and allow hard-working Pennsylvanians to keep a larger portion of their paychecks each year.
